Welcome to the weekend, my buddies! That is the final week of my trip from work and I plan to profit from it. My brother and his spouse are planning to drive up from Georgia and benefit from the snow with us. (I’m praying that the climate received’t affect that an excessive amount of!) There will likely be a lot of card video games and puzzles (as a result of I make everybody do them with me now.), video video games and laughter, in addition to oh-so-many of our favourite meals.

The theme of this week is snow, snow, SNOW. So, my meal plan is all in regards to the heat consolation meals. I’ll be making my Aunt Judy’s Creamy Vegetable Soup (oh, my gosh, it’s SO GOOD!) and an enormous pot of Lasagna Soup as properly.
Spicy chile sauce meets up with creamy refried beans and loads of cheese to make these Red Chile Chicken Burritos. One chew was all it took and we have been hooked. These will not be little burritos that you just’ll be holding in your hand to eat. These burritos may have you grabbing a plate and a fork and diving proper into that creamy, tacky, chicken-filled awesomeness.
Creamy, wealthy, and saucy, Stovetop Mac and Cheese was one other request and I’ll be cooking up some Garlic Butter Steak Bites to serve alongside it. I’m pondering some Roasted Brussels Sprouts will likely be excellent with that meal.
We’ll even be making Hen Cordon Bleu Sliders (from my first cookbook) and naturally, (no shock right here) Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese Sandwiches.
There’s a unending container of ready-to-eat vegetables for snacking, together with loads of ranch dip. There’s additionally queso within the fridge, able to warmth, every time the craving hits. It’s going to be a really tasty week!
Oh! And for a couple of candy bites, I’ll be making the most effective ever gooey, tender and chewy Rice Krispy Treats, Monster Cookies, and being the ice cream addicts that we’re, we’ll be churning one thing new just about each day – rain, snow, or sunshine.

My FAVORITE THING this week remains to be my puzzle board. I’m completely obsessive about it. Would anybody be serious about seeing what we’re working on each week? For what it’s price, I’m not a elaborate puzzle individual in any respect. About 500 items is the restrict more often than not for me, as I don’t wish to spend greater than a day or so randomly engaged on a puzzle and far more than that’s only a LOT of items to kind and cope with too. I’ve mad respect for anybody who does puzzles with hundreds upon hundreds of items. I can’t even think about that!
What I’m LISTENING to: Hymns by Joey + Rory. Sure, I’m formally listening to music my mom enjoys. (Full disclosure, I don’t love every part on this album, however I get pleasure from extra of it than I don’t.) I don’t even know who I’m proper now. Puzzles and old-school gospel hymns are in my favorites record. There are worse individuals I might try to emulate. Love you, Mother.
What I’m READING: My oldest son and I are studying A Call to Spiritual Reformation by D.A. Carson and doing an off-the-cuff Bible research with it. Up to now, I find it irresistible.
